Jason Gerrard is a director and co-founder of GerrardBown. In this capacity Jason works with boards and management teams to create enduring organisational success. This includes consulting on issues such as direction setting, exploiting market opportunities and optimising environmental and social performance. He is results-driven and relishes complex multi-stakeholder challenges, including the development of public policy.

Jason is a published author in sustainability (in both academic and popular press) and was the recipient of an Australian Leadership Award in 2010.

He has extensive experience in corporate strategy, management, sustainability and policy development across a number of sectors including consumer goods, education, life sciences, infrastructure and environment, government, IT and manufacturing.

He has worked with a variety of clients ranging from not-for-profit organisations and indigenous communities to governments and publicly listed corporations.

Prior to establishing GerrardBown in 2005, Jason worked in a number of roles including as a consultant with The Boston Consulting Group, as an executive for SEEK Ltd and as a founding director of Gradmarket (purchased by SEEK in 2000).

Jason holds a Master of Science in Resource Management and Environmental Sustainability from the University of British Columbia (Canada) during which he received a scholarship, external funding and a Research Associate Award. He also holds a first-class honours degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Commerce, both from Monash University. During his undergraduate studies Jason received the most prestigious scholarship awarded by the Engineering Faculty, the Co-operative Industry Scholarship.
